Here are some of our thoughts (please listen to the podcast for a complete description):

Ambiance / description of place / music / WIFI

Chris – Surrounded by Chicago Blackhawks memorabilia.  Colours match the team.  Replica Stanley cups.  Music playing hits of the 80’s and 90’s.

Smell / look / taste of Redneck Poutine

Chris – it thought I was going to get something swimming in gravy such as in Quebec – very different.  Skinny fries, just enough gravy and cheese to make things stick together (clump) without long strings of cheese.  Not much Jalapeno taste, but the bacon was salty and crunchy – big fan!  Green onions added a nice little flavour “kick” without being out of place.

Smell / look / taste of Fried Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chris – actually shaped more like cookie dough balls than flat baked cookies.  Nice use of caramel and powdered sugar to decorate.  Hard exterior (need a knife to cut to ~10mm crust), but gooey insides – almost like pudding.  Very rich chocolate taste – couldn’t eat too much of it – make sure you share this with someone.  Aftertaste a little bit salty (course salt crunch).  Not as good as the poutine, but very interesting.

Service / wait staff knowledge

Chris – Good knowledge of the menu for recommendations.

Overall dining experience

Chris – Chairs comfortable enough (wood with no padding), decent location, lots of TVs featuring sports, can buy Blackhawk souvenirs.

Would we go again

Chris – Absolutely – I want to try more things on their menu.
