National Leadership Program Seeks Outstanding Young Leader, a press release by Action Canada at Digital Journal on 9 December 2013.
“Each year, Action Canada selects up to 20 outstanding young Canadians to participate in our 11-month leadership development program… Our goals are to enhance the Fellows’ leadership skills, enrich their understanding of Canada, and build a network whose members will support each other in making our country the best it can be.”
Unfortunately, I only read this press release on 27 January so there’s not much time left to apply. The online nominations are due on 7 February 2014, and the rest of the required documentation is due on 14 February 2014. Having said that, most leaders should be able to meet the nomination requirements before the deadline.
The website with all the details is found here: http://www.actioncanada.ca.
This sounds like a great program that would be on par with my experiences during the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference, albeit much longer at 11 months. Aside from the website, I don’t know much about the program. If you are thinking of applying, or have already participated in this program, please let me know – I’d love to talk with you!
