Liberal leadership extension failing to boost voter numbers by The Canadian Press at CBC News on 19 March 2013
The Liberal Party of Canada is trying to find a new leader. Politics can be difficult – both my father and father-in-law are or have previously been involved. Politicians undertake a commitment to take action to help their constituents.
This is not a national election, but a party-specific vote. There are 294,000 party members, yet only 114,000 (or 39%) have signed up to vote. Is this a failure of leadership (not creating a compelling vision, lack of charisma, etc.), or can it be attributed to something else?
